The Planet Thanks

is an art-education project that promotes environmental awareness with a positive and inspiring approach. We present accessible solutions that we can adopt in our daily lives to reduce our impact on the environment, always highlighting transformative and constructive actions.

With an interactive musical show that combines music, theater and dance, and creative recycling workshops, the project educates in an engaging and playful way. Aimed at children, families and communities, the show transforms ecological education into an attractive and inspiring experience. The workshops, in turn, teach techniques for reusing materials, stimulating creativity and encouraging sustainable practices.

Our goal is to share knowledge about ecology, encourage changes in habits and promote practices that, in a simple and effective way, contribute to environmental preservation.

Pulgas Mix - Festival de Cultura en Acción in Barcelona, Spain, had the pleasure of working for several years with the project “O Planeta Agradece” as coordinator and promoter of the festival’s star area called PULGAS PETIT, offering workshops and shows dedicated to children, with a focus on environmental awareness. Functioning as an experimental laboratory of artistic dimensions and social coexistence, it was created by the artist Amarilis Vitale. The partnership’s main objective was to catalyze each participant’s creative capacity to reuse materials, thus expanding global awareness of the 5Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, Rethink and Refuse), above all by encouraging teamwork, the reuse of materials, the recycling of household waste, socialization, and the concepts of representation and identity. An absolute success with the public and critics.

Prêmios

The "O Planeta Agradece" project has been recognized twice by the renowned LatinoAmérica Verde Awards, which celebrates the best socio-environmental projects in Latin America. In 2020, the project was among the 500 best, occupying position 381 in the general ranking and 82nd place in the "solid waste management" category, among 2,540 projects registered from all over Latin America. This was the second recognition by the Award, the first having been received in 2016.

In addition to the recognition, the project participated in a program to strengthen sustainable companies, promoted by the organization of the Latin America Green Awards. This program offered access to a Latin American commercial platform, facilitating the exchange of knowledge with other sustainable companies and connecting "The Planet Thanks" to a wide network of potential investors and collaborators, opening new doors for the future of the project.
